About Me
Life. Art. Food. There’s nothing I love more than combining these three things to form a beautiful, delicious, life-inspired meal for others to enjoy. Originally from Romania, the beauty of London currently surrounds me as I find pleasure in rediscovering myself and all there is to life. For me, food is a big part of my life. What started out as a passionate blogging experiment has now turned into an almost full-time profession.
It all started when I begun posting recipes (vegetarian at the time), marrying life and food as I so love to do. Eventually, this led me to pursue a 3-year Culinary Arts course at the University of West London. Absolutely smitten by the new academic approach to food and gastronomy, I have only continued to grow in my adoration of everything food-related. From the culture the dish is inspired by, to classic and innovative cooking techniques and to the last and final touches, food inspires me. Enlivens me. Refreshes me.
I absolutely love what I do.
Right now, when I am not at school or busy researching recipes, I am either scrolling through London restaurants and street-food markets or dedicating my weekends to serving others as a private chef. Every once in a while I’m sneaking away to enjoy the allure of Venice or to indulge myself with Italian delicacies in this country that is so very close to my heart. I truly enjoy the process of creating unique, exciting menus and surprising my guests with the beauty and deliciousness of fresh, seasonal ingredients. After more than five years as a vegetarian, I’ve now ventured back into the land of fish and meat, as it is an integral part of my culinary studies. However, vegetables will always play an important role in every recipe that I craft – it is the lesson that I’ve learned in all those past years.
What I love, and I hope you’ll come to love as well, as you peruse the words and pictures on my blog, is the art of food. The profound, true art of a great meal goes so far beyond a recipe. It’s a story, a life, a dish inspired by someone long ago or someone with a modern flair for shaking things up. Not only does the food itself tell a story, but also there are more stories to be written as couples, families, or friends gather together to share delightful meals together. There is always, always a story on your plate – and around your plate. And it’s my goal to help you embrace that and invite you to take your taste buds on a culinary journey away from the ordinary.
Life. Art. And food. It’s what I do. And what I love.
